INDORE: Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital (MYH) at Indore will soon get a state-of-the art cardiac centre equipped with modern facilities for surgeries. The proposal to set up the modern cardiac centre—the first in any government hospital in the state—has been cleared by the state cabinet.
“ The centre will be operational within a year. It will be a boon for the poor patients who cannot afford expensive cardiac treatment at private hospitals”, state minister for health education Mahendra Hardia said.
He said every year the state government spends around Rs 25 crore for the cardiac related treatment of poor people at various private centres through various government schemes,” said Hardia adding that setting up of such a centre at MYH hospital would help benefit poor patients as the government hospital would be in a position to provide treatment to more people. Besides, patients will get all sorts of treatment under one roof and they will be relieved of running from one centre to another, he claimed.
Despite government hospitals having cardiologists and cardiac surgeons,he said they were unable to provide better treatment to patients due to lack of proper facilities.
Now patients will get all sorts of treatment under one roof and they will be relieved of running from one centre to another.
